Paulinka Kulczak takes Rookie of the Week laurels by winning a pair of singles matches last week. CCNY beat Medgar Evers 7-1 then lost to Brooklyn College 8-1. The Beavers are now 2-5 overall, including 2-4 in the CUNY Athletic Conference.
Against MEC, Kulczak won at first singles 6-1, 6-4, then took a default victory in doubles play. Against Brooklyn, she defeated reigning Player of the Week Ruth Reyes 6-4, 6-1 to earn CCNY’s sole win.
