Amelia Sideris had a busy week as she earned Rookie of the Week honors. Playing in her first season with Brooklyn College, she led the Bridges (4-3; 3-0 CUNYAC) to three straight wins before a loss to Kean University 7-2. The wins were 9-0 sweeps over Medgar Evers and New Rochelle, and an 8-1 win over John Jay.
Against Medgar, she teamed with Diana Rafailova to win at second doubles 8-0. At CNR, she won at third singles 10-1 before teaming with Rafailova at second doubles to win 8-0. Against John Jay, she won at #3 singles over Yan Zheng 6-0, 6-2, before losing 6-3, 6-2 at #4 singles against Kean.
