Amirouche Ait-Hamouda is this week’s Brine® Rookie of the Week as he led Lehman to a 1-1 week. The Lightning (1-10; 1-3 CUNYAC) beat City Tech and lost to Baruch, both by 3-2 scores.
Against City Tech, his unassisted goal in the 63rd minute was the decider. It was his first collegiate score. Against Baruch, he scored both goals to keep the Lightning competitive. For his first goal, Daniel Brentuo played a through ball which he tucked in past the keeper to pull Lehman close at 2-1. Then in the 86th minute, he took a through ball from Ovalo De Paula and found the back of the net to pull Lehman close at 3-2.
The three goals scored this week are Ait-Hamouda’s only scores this season.
