Sally Nnamani was an absolute standout for the Lehman women’s basketball team (10-8, 5-2 CUNYAC North) last week. The Lightning lost to nationally ranked Amherst 68-58 before beating conference foes Medgar Evers 68-65 and CCNY 79-63. Nnamani averaged 20.6 points and 14.3 rebounds during the week.
Against Amherst, the fourth ranked team in the land, the Bronx native scored 20 points while adding six rebounds and a pair of assists. At Medgar Evers, she recorded 15 points with 16 caroms. But she saved her best performance of the week for CCNY. Playing 32 minutes, she registered game-highs in points (27), rebounds (21) and blocked shots (7). Of her 21 rebounds, ten came off the offensive glass.
For the season, Nnamani is averaging 20/8 points per game. Additionally, she averages 14.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.1 blocks per game.
Lehman hosts City Tech on Wednesday at the Apex before heading to face Brooklyn College on Saturday.
