York College’s Andrew Phillips had a standout performance as the Cardinals (2-4, 0-2 CUNYAC) fell to Staten Island 112-81 in the team’s only meet last week. This week’s Swimming Rookie of the Week was a double winner, taking the 50-yard freestyle event in :25.9 and participating in the 200-yard freestyle relay team that finished in 1:55.0. Additionally, he finished second in the 200-yard freestyle event with a time of :52.81.
York has the rest of the week off to prepare for a meet against Lehman College next Tuesday.
