For the second time in as many weeks, Kalea Davis of Baruch College (12-4, 6-0 CUNYAC North) is the CUNY Athletic Conference women’s Player of the Week. Davis led Baruch to two wins in their three games, defeating CCNY 71-37 and Lehman 68-53. The Bearcats lost to #17 Messiah 81-67.

Davis recorded double-doubles in all three road games. Amazingly, of her 39 rebounds, 19 came off the offensive glass.

Davis shot 11 of 19 from the floor, scoring a career-high 27 points, and grabbed 12 rebounds at Messiah.  At CCNY, she picked up 17 points and 13 rebounds.

But the biggest stars shine bright on the biggest of stages. At Lehman, with the top spot in the CUNYAC North division at stake, the Bronx native scored 20 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to be named the CUNYAC/Con Edison Player of the Game. Davis extended her double-double streak to six games and now has posted 13 double-doubles for the season.

Davis was also named the PrestoSports/Met Basketball Writers Association Co-Player of the Week for her efforts.

Baruch hosts to regional rival Kean University on Monday night before returning to conference play Wednesday by hosting Brooklyn College.
