City Tech won both CUNYAC games last week largely due to the play of this week’s Player of the Week Ryan Phillip. For the week, Phillips averaged 19.3 points, 12.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists.
City Tech (10-6, 5-1 CUNYAC South) defeated York College 75-70 and Medgar Evers 76-69. Earlier in the week, NYCCT lost to New Jersey City University 57-55.
Phillip recorded double-doubles in all three contests, with 16 points and 14 boards against NJCU, 21 points and 13 rebounds against York, and 21 points and 10 rebounds at Medgar Evers. He added eight assists and six steals during the week.
City Tech next faces John Jay on Saturday afternoon.
