Jordan Young earns this week’s Rookie of the Week honors for his efforts in leading the CSI Dolphins (2-8, 0-2 CUNYAC South) to a 2-1 weekly record. After losing to St. Joseph’s College of Brooklyn 76-65, CSI rebounded to defeat Nazareth (N.Y.) College 89-83 and New Jersey City University 82-76. In CSI’s Tournament of Heroes, Young netted 22 points with twelve rebounds against St. Joe’s, then returned with 22 points, nine rebounds and five assists against Nazareth. Naturally, the Asbury Park, N.J. product was named to the All-Tournament team. In the win over NJCU, Young contributed 13 points, four rebounds and three assists.
CSI has a trio of games this week. Tonight, they host FDU Florham, then welcome CUNYAC foe Lehman on Wednesday. On Friday, CSI heads into Queens to face York College.
