In November, Kamm led the second-seeded Hawks to their third straight CUNYAC Championship and was named the tournament MVP for the third consecutive season. She was also named the CUNYAC Player of the Year for the first time in her career. She concluded her final season of collegiate volleyball leading the team in kills with 379 or 3.68 per set and hitting percentage with .342. She also finished averaging 2.47 assists, .57 aces, 48 blocks and 1.69 digs. In the first round of the NCAA tournament, she led the team with 15 kills (.355), 14 assists and seven digs.
Kamm joined the Hawks in the fall of 2006 after a three-year hiatus from the sport of volleyball and helped lead the team to its first CUNYAC Championship since 2002, while being named the Tournament Most Valuable Player. That spring, she graduated with a degree in Film, but would return in the fall of 2007 to pursue a master’s degree in School Counseling. Kamm would resume her role on the team as an outside hitter and setter that season and once again led the hawks to a CUNYAC title and her second Tournament MVP Honor after recording a triple-double in the championship game with 16 kills, 23 assists and 13 digs. "After taking three years off from volleyball and over a year off from school, I never imagined that I would have had a chance to return to school, earn a degree and be able to compete in a sport that I am so passionate about, " stated Kamm.
Kamm finishes her three-year career with the Hawks as the second all-time leader in kills with 1,044, second all-time in hitting percentage .277 (1044-343-2527), sixth all-time in assists with 1,390 and aces [240], and she is seventh all-time in total blocks with 191. She accomplished these feats in just 104 matches.
Currently in her second year of graduate studies, Kamm maintains a 3.5 Graduate GPA while pursuing a Masters degree in School Counseling. When not on the court or in the classroom, Kamm has served as the CUNY/CAP for the department working primarily with Academic Support. Her everyday role involves meeting with new, current and transfer student-athletes to ensure they are able to obtain success in the classroom. "I’m so thankful for being given the chance to excel in each of these facets at a CUNY Institution, an opportunity that many do not have the chance to experience. "
After coaching Kamm for three seasons, one as an assistant, head coach Ray Bello had the following to say about his team captain, "I think she is one of the hardest working girls on and off the court, that you’re ever going to get. I’m more than fortunate to have been able to coach such a gifted individual like Amanda and I want to thank her for everything she has done for this team and Hunter Athletics."
