Mousa Sinera turned in a historic week on the court in a Cougars’ uniform. In Tuesday’s overtime loss to Hunter, Sinera pulled down 43 rebounds, the most in a single-game in NCAA Division III history. The previous mark of 36 rebounds was shared by two individuals, including Clinton Montford, who as a member of Methodist, accomplished the feat against Warren Wilson back in 1989. The other student-athlete was Mark Veenstra, as he did it for Calvin against Colorado St.-Pueblo back in 1976.

Remarkably, Sinera came within 10 rebounds of the all-time NCAA record, which was set by Jim Roberts, as he snatched a whopping 53 boards for Sewanee against Lambuth back in February of 1958.

On Friday at York, he grabbed another 21 rebounds, becoming just the second Cougar in program history to record 1,000 rebounds.
