Daniel Laffitte made a major impact during BMCC’s three games last week. Laffitte played a significant role during the Panther's first overall and CUNYAC victory of the season against Queensborough, dropping 16 points, including 11 in the first half, to go along with three rebounds and three assists in the team’s 80-69 win. Against reigning Region 15 champion Monroe-Bronx, Laffitte led all rebounders with a career-high 11 boards in the contest to go along with six points and one rebound, assist, block, and steal each.
Perhaps his best performance of the week came against Dutchess, when he posted a new career-high of 19 points, including 12 of them in the first half, while missing his first career double-double by a rebound, leading the Panthers for the second straight game with a team-high nine rebounds. He also corralled a team-best three steals and had an assist in the contest.
