Emanuella Aurel served as a jack of all trades for the BMCC women's volleyball team during a 3-2 week. Aurel went off during the first match of the week, placing a single-game program record 23 service aces, with 12 of them in the first set, including 10 straight in a straight-set defeat of CUNYAC opponent Bronx Community College.
Aurel also led the Panther's backline with a game-best eight digs against Bronx C.C. and a team-high eight against Monroe-Bronx. She also led the Panthers in the match with three solo blocks.
With top setter Xheni Doci out of the lineup on Thursday night against FIT, Aurel stepped up to the plate in a five-set loss. Aurel was the quarterback of the Panther's offensive attack and registered her second double of the season by dishing out a career and team-high 23 assists and corralling 20 digs. Over the weekend, she was instrumental to the Panther's backline registering a game-best 30 digs to go along with a game-high .364 hitting percentage (7K-3E-11TA).
She concluded the double dual on Saturday afternoon tying a team-best with four service aces and smashing eight kills while leading the defense again with a team-high 27 digs.
