Lewis earns her second straight Player of the Week citation after leading the Panthers to a 3-0 week. The Rochester, Minnesota native kicked off the week with a bang with her second 20-plus kill performance of the year as she smashed a game-high 21 kills with a career-high .327 hitting percentage to go along with a game-best six service aces, five of them coming on an 8-0 Panther's run, erasing a 19-17 deficit to take the first set of the match. She also contributed defensively with 13 digs and picked up her third straight double of the season.
She continued that momentum over the weekend, going off during the Panthers' first double dual of the season. The Rochester, Minnesota native recorded a double-double with a game-high 15 kills and a career-high eight service aces to go along with a team-best 11 digs during a 3-0 victory over Rockland C.C. She also registered a game-high .300 hitting percentage in the match.
Lewis showed her defensive prowess in game two during a four-set victory (25-14,23-25,28-26,25-14) against Westchester Community College, corralling a game and career-best 31 digs while leading the offensive charge with a game-best 17 kills and tying a team-best with four service aces.
Her performance has led the BMCC women's volleyball program to four straight wins for the first time since the 2017 season.
