For the second week in-a-row Avdyli is named CUNYAC Rookie of the Week following strong performances against CUNYAC opponents John Jay and Hunter. Against the Bloodhounds, Avdyli was victorious in No. 1 doubles (8-2) and No. 1 singles (6-1, 7-5). The freshman picked up the Lightning’s lone victory against Hunter, knocking off Preseason Player of the Year Zaara Afida in three sets, 4-6, 6-2, 6-4.
