McCafferty earns her second consecutive rookie nod following an impressive effort in a narrow loss to Baruch last Friday. The Staten Islander won the 1,000 freestyle in 11:06.97, to win the event by nearly two minutes. That race was sandwiched between a race-best 27.37 freestyle anchor leg in the 200 medley relay and a second-place finish in the 50 freestyle, where her 27.24 ranks third amongst all CUNY swimmers this season.
