Eric Wang has been named the CUNYAC Men's Swimming & Diving Rookie of the Week for the week of 12/1-12/7. Competing at the ECAC Winter Finals, the Bearcats finished 9th overall. The rookie had another fantastic week as he broke two school records in individual events. In relay action, he was part of teams that finished 9th in the 400 Yard Medley Relay with a time of 3:45.92 and 10th in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay with a time of 3:23.73. His individual numbers were even more impressive. He broke the school record in the 100 Yard Butterfly with an outstanding 7th place finish in 51.12 seconds before breaking another school record in the 100 Yard Backstroke with a 13th place finish and a time of 54.19. He also finished top 10 in the 500 Yard Freestyle with a time of 7:55.19 and 200 Yard Freestyle with a time of 1:31.04. His worst event was by no means poor as he finished 15th in the 200 Yard Butterfly with a time of 2:18.57.
