Melissa Paredes has been named CUNYAC/ Army ROTC Women's Track and Field Rookie of the Week for the week of 3/30 - 4/5. Freshman Melissa Paredes continued to impress in her rookie season at the Goucher Classic, winning the women's 5000 meter run with a time of 21:02.02 and setting a freshman record for City College. Paredes had a time of 2:35.73 in the 800 meter run, a 5:19.89 in the 1500 meter run and a distance of 11.19 meters in the discus. Paredes also led the women's 4 x 400 meter relay team to a second place finish with a time of 4:47.10.
