Roshane Wright has been named the CUNYAC/US Army Men's Indoor Track and Field Performer of the Week for the week of 1/12-1/18. Wright continued his breakout season, as he won two events in a large field at the St. Joseph's Winter Invitational, made up of schools from all three divisions. The Valley Stream native won the long jump with a mark of 6.78 and the 400-meter dash in a time of 50.51. His 400 time was just .01 away from qualifying for ECACs. In addition, Wright was the anchor leg in the 4x400 relay, leading York to a second-place finish in that event. The sophomore currently holds the second best mark in the long jump in NCAA Division III after a 7.14-meter jump on Jan. 10.
