Starasia Lawley has been named the CUNYAC/Pepsi Community College Female Player of the Week for the term of 12/15/14-1/11/15. On Tuesday, January 6th, Hostos Community College traveled to Middletown, NY to take on Region XV opponent Orange Community College, seeking to obtain their first road victory of the season. Freshman guard Starasia Lawley wasn't letting her team start the new year off on the wrong foot. Lawley dropped a CUNYAC season-high 40 points and grabbed 17 rebounds to go along with four assists, two steals and two blocks on the night. Thanks to her outstanding effort, the Caimans did what they came to do and achieved their first victory of 2015, defeating the Colts 77-66.
