Christina Pasaturo has been named the CUNYAC Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week for the week of 1/5/15 - 1/11/15. This marks her seventh consecutive Rookie of the Week honor as she continues her sweep of the honor this season. The Staten Island standout averaged 25.5 points per game while shooting 58% from the field, 64% from beyond the arc, and 80% from the charity stripe. During a 66-53 win over conference opponent CCNY, the rookie scored 22 points and snagged four rebounds to bring the Dolphins to a winning 3-2 record in conference play. She was a key part of the game with 10 points during a 15-2 run to open the second half.
She followed that up with a career-high 29 points in a key win over CUNYAC opponent Lehman 89-82. She helped get scoring started with a couple of early baskets that helped the Dolphins to an early 10-5 lead. The Lightning battled back and took the lead but Pasaturo was relentless and hit key buckets to claw back before hitting a three-pointer to give the Dolphins a healthy lead down the stretch. For the season, she leads the Dolphins with 15.5 points per game and is shooting an outstanding 41% from three-point land.
