Kristen Markoe has been named the CUNYAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of 1/5/15 - 1/11/15. This marks her second time earning this accolade this season after winning in the first week. Over two conference games this week, the graduate student averaged 34.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per contest while having the two best scoring games of her career. In a win over Medgar Evers, she set a career-high with 31 points while grabbing seven rebounds in just 27 minutes. She followed that up with an even more impressive night versus York with 38 points and 10 rebounds. Against the Cardinals, the Hawks were down 38-27 at halftime but Markoe was part of a comeback that she capped off with a jumper that gave Hunter a 60-59 lead with 4:50 remaining.
