York's Michael Woods has been named the CUNYAC/Con Edison Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of 1/13 to 1/17. The Junior guard played the best two game series of his career this past week, breaking schools records in single- game scoring set back in 1987 by Elliot Bruce. The Brooklyn native eclipsed Bruce in the record books by dropping 44 points and seven steals in a game Wednesday against Medgar Evers. Woods has a combined record of 14 steals and is second in the country in scoring, averaging 29.4 ppg.
