Julia Sung has been named the CUNYAC Women's Swimming & Diving Athlete of the Week for the week of 12/2-12/8. The 2012-13 CUNYAC Athlete of the Year competed in two meets this week. During a 107-70 win over CUNYAC's John Jay, the standout set a new school record with a time of 1:10.81 in the 100 Meter Butterfly. She followed that up with another gold in the 100 Meter Breaststroke at 1:19.04 before finishing the day with a 1st place finish in the 200 Meter Free Relay with a time of 2:01.78. The Flushing native continued her strong swimming at the ECAC Warm-up. She placed highest in the 200 Yard Medley Relay with a time of 1:53.35 which was good for 7th and to qualify for the ECAC Open. Individually, she qualified for ECACs in the 100 Yard and 200 Yard Breaststroke with times of 1:09.53 and 2:28.89, respectively. The standout was also able to qualify in the 400 Yard IM with a time of 4:54.11..
