Tim Sweeney has been named the CUNYAC Men's Swimming & Diving Rookie of the Week for the week of 11/18-11/24. This marks the second time this season that he has earned this accolade. In two meets this week, the rookie standout won all six of his events. During a 158-71 win over Brooklyn, the Staten Island native contributed to a 1:43.96 win in the 200 Medley Relay. The St. Peter's grad took home first in the 100 Freestyle at 51.47 and the 500 Freestyle with a time of 5:04.29 to finish the meet. Against William Paterson, he won the 1000 Freestyle in 10:14.64 before taking the 100 Back at 58.61 and bringing home gold in the 500 Freestyle at 5:01.73.
