Adrienne Vivas has been named the CUNYAC/Applebee's Women's Swimming & Diving Athlete of the Week for the week of 11/18-11/24. In two meets this week, the second year swimmer finished with four first place finishes and two second place finishes. Against conference opponent Brooklyn, the Staten Island native dominated her competition with first place finishes in all three of her events. For her two individual races, the 1000 freestyle and 500 freestyle, the Tottenville alumni finished ahead of the pack in the times of 12:23.60 and 6:05.03. In her lone team event, the 200 freestyle relay, the Vivas and her fellow Dolphins' were able to out swim their opponents to a first place, 1:55.59 completion. In the Dolphins' next meet against William Paterson, the Staten Island native did not fare as well but was still able to walk away with a first place finish in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:57.29. In her other two events for the day, Vivas did not see as much success but was still able to pull out second place completions in the 200 freestyle in a time of 2:18.36 and the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 2:00.42.
