Tim Sweeney has been named the CUNYAC Men's Swimming & Diving Rookie of the Week for the week of 11/3-11/10. The first year swimmer had an outstanding start to his collegiate swimming career with a first place and two second place finishes in CSI's meet against Old Westbury and Brooklyn. The Staten Island native finished second in the 200 yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:48.43, first in the 1000 yard freestyle in 10:12.20, and second in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 56.32. In the Dolphins following meet against Baruch, Sweeney dominated the field with first place finishes in all three events he participated in. The freshman swam in the 200 yard freestyle, 500 yard freestyle, and the 200 yard relay, finishing with the times of 1:50.42, 4:58.71, and 1:32.39. The St. Peter's alum has boosted CSI to an undefeated, 3-0 start so far.
