Kristine Ciurcina has been named the CUNYAC/Pepsi Women's Volleyball Rookie of the Week for the week of 8/26-9/1. In three matches this past week, the first year player totaled 71 assists at the NYU Invitational. In the Staten Island native's debut, she recorded 33 assists against Ramapo along with assists on two blocks as the Hawks won 3-1. In the next two matches, the freshman had 14 assists against Simpson and 24 assists against Brockport.
