Jasdeep Buttar has been named the CUNYAC/MCU Baseball Rookie of the Week for the week of 4/22 – 4/28. The New Jersey native went 11-for-27, for a .407 batting average, with six RBI’s, five runs scored, two doubles and one stolen base. In a game against Merchant Marine, the catcher/first baseman went 3-for-6 with two RBI’s and two runs scored. The following day in a doubleheader against Mount St. Vincent, the freshman went 3-for-9 with four RBI’s and two runs scored. The Bearcats went 3-3 for the week and now has an overall record of 17-16.
