Samantha Rodriguez has been named the CUNYAC/Applebee's Softball Rookie of the Week for the week of 3/25 – 3/31. This marks the third consecutive weekly award for the rookie after a Player of the Week honor last week. In seven games this week, the catcher compiled a .480 batting average with eight runs scored, seven RBIs, three doubles, three walks, and two stolen bases. The Brooklyn native had four runs and five RBIs in two victories over Lehman. Following that up against John Jay, the rookie standout hit .333 with three runs scored as the Bulldogs swept a doubleheader.
