Egzon Gjonbalaj has been named the CUNYAC/Con Edison Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week for the week of 1/21 – 1/27. The guard started all three games and averaged 14.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists, one block and 1.7 steals in 30 minutes. In a 85-76 win over borough rival St. Joseph’s College (Brooklyn), the freshman poured in a game and career-high 25 points on 10-12 (83.3%) shooting from the field. Gjonbalaj also shot 75% (3-4) and 66.7% (2-3) from three and the free-throw line, respectively.
