Tyree White has been named the CUNYAC/Applebee’s Rookie of the Week for the week of 1/14 – 1/20. The freshman averaged 19.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, 0.5 assists, one steal and one block. In a 66-62 win over BMCC, the freshman netted 18 points, shooting 8-12 from the field, recorded 13 rebounds and went 2-4 from the free-throw line. In a 102-52 blowout victory over Dutchess, the Brooklyn native scored 21 points, shooting 10-13, with 8 rebounds. He was perfect from the free-throw line.
