Ronell Ross has been named the CUNYAC/Applebee’s Male Athlete of the Week for the week of 1/7-1/13. The sophomore averaged 19.5 points, 20 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks, and 1.5 steals in two wins for the Broncos. In the two games the forward grabbed 20 rebounds in each of the games. Against Kingsborough 12 of Ronell’s 20 rebounds were key offensive rebounds for second chance points. In the win over the Wave, the City native also led the team in scoring, pouring in 20 points to go along with his strong game off the boards. The second year player has continued his incredible play all year, making this the second time Ronell has been rewarded this accolade for the 2012-13 season.
