Andrey Tarasov has been named the CUNYAC/Emblem Health Men's Swimming & Diving Athlete of the Week for the week of 12/10-12/16. The junior was an NCAA All-American last year in the 100-yard Breaststroke after finishing fifth at Nationals. The Russian swam in three events against Old Westbury as the Dolphins triumphed 104-95. Beginning the day with the 1000-Yard Freestyle, he snagged first place with a time of 10:53.85. He followed it up with a 58 second time in the 100-Yard Backstroke to grab another first place victory. He finished out the meet in his All-American winning event with a time of 1:00.68 to take his third first place finish of the day.
