Dakota Dawkins has been named the CUNYAC/Emblem Health Women's Swimming & Diving Rookie of the Week for the week of 12/3-12/9. The freshman competed in two meets and six events for the week. Against the Bloodhounds, she swam as part of 2:17.53 200 Medley Relay victory. She followed that up with a first place finish in the 200 IM at 2:43.48. These were impressive but she capped off her day in style with a CSI record-breaking time of 1:16.38 in the 100 Breaststroke as the Dolphins won 54-41. The Staten Island native then competed against conference opponent Brooklyn. In the 100 Breaststroke, she won the event for the second time this week with a time of 1:18.97. She finished the week with a first place finish as part of the 200 Freestyle Relay team at 1:56.60. Her efforts led to a 153-74 victory bringing CSI to 4-0 overall and 3-0 in conference.
