Baruch’s Christian Wulff is one of the biggest reasons why the Baruch men’s tennis team has gone undefeated in CUNYAC regular-season matches over the past two seasons.  After all, the Lunen, Germany native is the #2 singles player on the first-place Bearcats and has lost only one singles match and one doubles match the entire month of April.  But it’s the work that Wulff does off the court that makes him one of the most well-rounded student-athletes in CUNY.

"Christian Wulff is one of the most talented players to ever play for Baruch,” said Baruch Head Coach Florin Giuglescu. “He is a major reason why we have finished undefeated in the regular season during the last two years. In addition, he has done a terrific job to balance academics with athletics, and be a terrific success with both. He is currently interning with Alitalia Airlines and the Advertising Research Foundation.  I forsee many great things in the future for Christian."

A Dean’s List student with a sensational 3.81 grade point average in Operations Management and a minor in Communications, Wulff is a member of the Golden Key Honor Society.  He was a CUNYAC Scholar-Athlete in the Spring of 2004 and should be honored again in 2005.  Because of his internship, Wulff attends classes mostly in the evening and uses the weekend to catch up with homework and other projects.

"My internships are allowing me to gain valuable skills, experience, and contacts in the job community,” said Wulff.  “I want to land a good entry-level trainee position/job in the consulting industry, and then go for my master's degree within two to three years. Eventually, I want to own my own business in the far future."

Wulff, a senior, is extremely appreciative to all of the mentors that are helping him achieve his goals in life.

"I want to thank my employers for their support, and for allowing me to play tennis and balance a full class schedule as I earn my B.B.A. in Operations Management,” Wulff said. “I am working hard in the hopes that my current efforts will pay off in the future, and right now, I feel as if I am on the right track.  I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Baruch and I want to finish my senior season with another CUNYAC Championship. My teammates, head coach, and the athletic staff (trainer Heather Cayward & Sports Information Director John Neves) in particular for their support, encouragement, and friendship. Finally, I want to take this opportunity to thank my head coach and dear teacher Florin Giuglescu. He has made me a better player, person, and teammate by letting me do what  I love the most, which is play tennis."
