Vanessa D’Ambrosi has been named the CUNYAC/Con Edison Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for the week of 12/3 – 12/9 after leading the Bulldogs to a 2-0 record. The junior averaged 18.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists in 22 minutes per contest. The transfer from Division II Saint Anselm College shot 59.1% from the field, including a perfect 4-4 and 7-7 from beyond the arc and the free-throw line, respectively. The Brooklyn native helped erase a 21-point deficit at the half against NYU by pouring in a game-high 23 points. Brooklyn would go on to earn the come-from-behind victory, 66-57.
