Baruch freshman, Jacky Lau has been named the CUNYAC/Applebee's Men's Swimming & Diving Rookie of the Week for the second time in a row. Last week he was the first leg of the four man relay, breaking the freshman and school record by winning the 50 backstroke with a time of 28.59. This week, Lau placed first in all three of his events against Brooklyn. In the 200 freestyle relay, Lau came in 1st with a time of 1:27.78, allowing him to qualify for the ECAC opening. He also won in the 200 Freestyle with a time of 1:53.92 and the 100 Freestyle with a time of 49.02 as Brooklyn won 131-59. Against Division I Manhattan, the rookie recorded two 2nd place finishes in the 200 freestyle and the 100 backstroke and placed 1st in the 200 freestyle relay. In the 200 Freestyle he swam a 1:53.42 and then finished with a time of 56.42 in the 100 Backstroke.
