Winston Douglas has been named the CUNYAC/Con Edison Men's Basketball Player of the Week after earning his 4th straight double-double of the season. In his first game, an 80-56 win against Vermont Tech, the senior scored a game-high 30 points and registered 10 offensive and 12 defensive rebounds. The forward, a 2011-2012 Player of the Year and All-American, also hit 6 three-pointers. In his second game of the week, the Hempstead native scored 10 points, had 19 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 block and 1 steal. For the week, Douglas averaged 20 points, 20.5 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block and 1 steal.
