Derrick Fernandez has been named the CUNYAC/Applebee’s Male Athlete of the Week for the week of 11/26 – 12/2. The Bronx native averaged 20 points, 3.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 2.5 steals in two games. The guard scored 19 points, recorded three rebounds and seven assists against Sullivan and then netted 21 points against Hostos. The Bronx native has contributed to his team’s 4-2 overall record. This is Fernandez’s second award after winning Rookie Athlete of the Week for the first week of play.
