Queensborough’s women’s volleyball Angelica Aquino has been awarded the first CUNYAC/Applebee’s Rookie of the Week of the 2012 season. During the week, the freshman opposite led the team with 41 kills, hitting over .350 with 10 aces, 39 digs and 3 blocks. Defeating Hostos and Bronx, Aquino helped the Tigers gain a 4-2 CUNYAC record and a 2-2 CUNY conference record for the week.
