Kingsborough’s women’s volleyball freshman Joycelyn Rolland has been named the CUNYAC/Applebee’s Female Athlete of the Week. Rolland, a middle hitter, has been a key element in the Wave’s 10-4 record. Last week, in six matches, Rolland compiled 73 kills and 16 blocks, helping Kingsborough secure wins over Bronx CC and defending champion Queensborough CC. According to the latest NJCAA rankings, the Brooklyn native is now placed fourth in the nation in attack percentage.
