Amandine Le Goupil-Mair has been named the CUNYAC/Hospital for Special Surgery Women’s Tennis Player of the Week. Le Goupil-Maier was named the first CUNYAC's Rookie of the Week for the 2012 season and has bounced back, this time outshining the rookie. She had a excellent week and is now 2-0 this season at #1 in singles. She began the week with a comeback victory over John Jay's, Armine Kurkjian, dropping the first set 3-6 then winning the 2nd and 3rd sets 7-5, 10-5 respectively. She also defeated Roneke Browne of Medgar Evers 6-1, 6-2. In double plays with Jennifer Mukofsky, the pronounced CUNYAC Women's Tennis Rookie of the Week, the duo defeated Armine Kurkjian and Natalie Cervantes of John Jay 8-6 and Danielle Maragh and Roneke Browne of Medgar Evers 8-1. Overall, the team won 9-0 against both John Jay and Medgar Evers last week and is now 4-0 in conference play.
