Brooke King, a first year member of the John Jay Women's Cross Country team, was named the first CUNYAC/US Army Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week for the 2012 season. King ran in the Baruch Invitational at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx this Sunday where nine other teams competed. The Pennsylvania native completed the run with a time of 26:39, which made her the 1st of 72 runners. The rookie shined amongst enormous competition in her first collegiate meet.
