For the fourth time this season, Steven Coniglio earns the Player of the Week award for Men’s Volleyball as teams gear up for the championship tournament this week. Coniglio totaled 36 kills on the week with an impressive .439 attacking as he led the Bearcats to a four-set victory (3-1) against #5 NYU and a sweep of conference opponents, the York Cardinals. Against #5 ranked NYU, Coniglio contributed 16 kills on .625 attacking and four blocks and was the major force in the Bearcat upset. A day later, he hit .409 in two wins against York, with 18 total kills. With these two conference victories, #15 Baruch earned the #2 seed in the upcoming CUNYAC Men’s Volleyball Championship, hosting the John Jay Bloodhounds in the quarterfinals tomorrow at 6:00pm.
