In the opening meet of the 2012 outdoor track and field season, Kemilla John starts off strong with a first place victory and CUNYAC/US Army Athlete of the Week honor. The sophomore from Queens got her first place victory after finishing the 400 meter dash in time of 1:05.06. John was the only woman on the Cardinals squad to get a first place victory at the Queensborough Relays this past Saturday. The Samuel J. Tilden alum and the rest of the York team will return to action March 24 as they compete in the Stockton Invitational.
