Continuing his sweep in the 2012 campaign season, Edner Geffard is named the CUNYAC/Con Edison Men’s Volleyball Rookie of the Week. Geffard recorded double-digit kills in all four of the Cardinals’ matches for the week, placing their overall record 16-11 and 8-2 in CUNYAC play. The freshman started the week off strong with a nearly perfect performance in the win over Purchase College (March 15), having 10 kills with zero errors and 11 total attempts. Geffard also had a season high of seven aces in the straight set victory. The rookie went on to total 26 kills in the two back to back wins over conference opponents Medgar Ever in the CUNYAC multi-match. For the week, Geffard total an impressive 49 kills with a .457 hitting percentage.
