Stephon Medard has been named the second CUNYAC/Con Edison Community College Men’s Athlete of the week for the season. Following the Tigers’ 2-1 week, the sophomore from Queens scored a total of 53 points and pulled down a total of 18 rebounds with eight assists and six steals. In the conference win against the Borough of Manhattan Community College (Nov. 29), Medard scored 21 points shooting 41% on the field and knocking down one out of four three point shots. He also registered six rebounds that game with three steals and two assists. Queensborough’s second win of the week came against Rockland Community College (Dec. 1) in which Medard netted 10 points , shooting 2-for-4 in three point field goals and pulled down 11 rebounds and six assists. In the loss against Sullivan Community College (Dec. 3) the Francis Lewis alum scored his week high of 22 points shooting 7-for-17 on the field and 2-for-5 in three point range.
