Following Hostos’ 3-2 start of the season, freshman Charles Jackson scored a total of 116 points over the course of those five games placing him 10th in scoring in NJCAA Division III Men’s Basketball. At the start of the season Jackson set the pace with 11 points in the 74-60 win over Suffolk Community College (Nov 3). He shot 4-for-7 on the field and was 2-for-4 at three point range. The Walton High School alum doubled in points in the next game against Rockland Community College (Nov. 8). The forward shot 52.9% from the field, grabbing 6 rebounds and 25 points in total in the 86-60 win. Jackson shot one of his better games in a losing contest against Sullivan County Community College (Nov. 10). He scored a total of 31 points, shooting 60.0 from the field with five rebounds. Against Ulster County Community College (Nov. 15) Jackson shot 81.8% on the field with three rebounds and knocked down 5 of his 10 free throw shots, giving him a total of 23 points that game. In the last game of the week against Nassau Community College (Nov. 17) the Bronx native had a double-double with 26 points and 12 rebounds.
