Adriana Navarrete gets her first top swimming athlete nod after her five first place victories in the Lightning’s 2-0 win including a conference victory over York College. Navarrete finished the 50-meter freestyle with a time of 30.35 placing her at the top. She went on to finish the 200-meter freestyle relay with a time of 2:20.71 also getting her a first place finish in the 96-73 win against York (Jan. 23). The junior went on to place first in the 50 yard freestyle (28.22), 100 yard freestyle (1:02.22) and 500 yard freestyle (6:49.70) in the win over SUNY Maritime (Jan. 25). Navarrete along with the rest of Lehman’s women swimming and diving team will compete next in the CUNYAC Championships set to start this Thursday, February 2nd at Lehman College.
