Notching his 15th double-double of the season, Winston Douglas is tied for first in the nation. Following the Cougars 3-0 week the 6-foot-4 forward totaled 67 points, 49 rebounds, eight assists and eight steals. The junior was 7-for-25 in the win over Baruch (Jan. 25) scoring 16 points and pulling down 18 boards. Against John Jay (Jan. 27) Douglas shot .600 (9-for-15) on the floor, 7-for-8 on the free throw line, scoring 25 points with 21 total rebounds and swiping four steals on the defensive end. The Hempstead native was perfect on the line knocking down all five of his free throws and going 8-for-17 on the floor. He scored 26 points with 10 rebounds in the 84-66 win over St. Joseph’s Brooklyn (Jan. 29).
